As organizations move to be more conscious of their investments and business models, the need for Environmental Social and Corporate Governance communications is growing. ESG is simply a framework for evaluating the capital markets and broader business landscape. As we weather changes in sentiment, policy and best practice in these three categories, Vested works with clients to identify their evolving value proposition, guide strategic business decisions, and tell stories that will resonate with increasingly educated stakeholder markets.

We’re going through this transition, too. In addition to keeping abreast of the latest trends, we’re adapting our own business practices, improving where we can and bringing all that experiential knowledge to our client work.

Bryan
Limon

Director, Branding & Digital Strategy, US

Bryan advises clients on branding, digital strategy, integrated marketing, and content strategy. He has led marketing and communications efforts at firms such as XPO Logistics, KKR, Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns, where he has managed communications and marketing on ESG and DE&I. At Morgan Stanley, he launched the first external diversity website and the first marketing for the firm’s sustainable investing initiatives. He branded and launched the first digital and print annual reports for KKR’s Green Portfolio Program. At XPO, he was instrumental in the creation and development of internal DE&I initiatives, including the launch of employee resource groups, and he also developed the company’s first digital ESG report. On the agency side, he has led social media strategy for Bank of America, helping the brand and its executives proactively engage on social and environmental issues. He has also advised non-profits and NGOs on mission-driven digital and social strategy.

As part of a post-demerger rebrand, Jo brought-to-life M&G Plc’s sustainability-driven corporate narrative, by surfacing responsible investment products against the backdrop of a corporate pledge to be carbon neutral by 2030. She led a team to create inspiring and educational content for the website, social media channels and staff engagement platforms in order to drive traffic and spark discussion.

Sydney advises clients on and activates campaigns relating to digital marketing, media relations, and content creation. Having worked on a variety of clients within the financial services sector, her portfolio contains a number of clients with ESG strategies within credit ratings, wealth management, and asset management. Sydney leads projects that educate B2B and B2C audiences on ESG and SRI topics through public relations, internal communications, and social media campaigns.

As an environmentalist, Marian (she/her) knows that individual actions matter, but it’s institutional and industry-wide shifts that will effect meaningful change — for the environment and other important causes. She works with firms to extract and share impactful stories when they exist, and to counsel seismic business shifts that will position financial firms as thought leaders in the future. She’s consulted on the Net Zero commitment and climate plan of a Fortune 500 firm, supported the expansion of an industry-leading corporate apprenticeship program, ideated and authored bylines on ESG standardization and reporting, and moderated panels on the future of ESG. Prior to joining Vested, Marian worked at two other financial agencies, with projects spanning: water stewardship, supply chain, tax incentives for ESG impact, transportation, climate risk, and reinsurance. She’s also supported sizable internal CSR and ESG efforts at Vested and in past roles. Marian was a 2018 finalist for PR News’ Marketer of the Year and in 2020 was named a PR News Rising Star. A forever student, she is currently working on learning the GRI Standards and unlearning her cultural biases.

Danny is an investment management specialist and has worked with some of the world’s most recognised and valuable financial services brands. His ESG experience spans activism campaigns for shareholder groups, launching green investment products and building educational programmes to increase awareness and understanding of sustainability issues. Danny has previously advised BlackRock, Hermes EOS and Mirova on ESG communications programmes and is currently working with MSCI to promote its ESG tools and ratings to investors. Danny is currently studying for the CFA’s Certificate in ESG Investing.
