Here at Vested, we often say our team is our greatest asset. Our people are smart, passionate, involved, kind, funny, interesting people, and we want to share them with you! In our new series Vested Interests, we’re spotlighting Vesties around the world, sharing what they’re reading, who they’re listening to, where they’re eating, and everything in between.

Today, we’re hearing from Chloe Polo, Vested Associate Director based out of our London office. She joined the agency in April and is a leading voice across our digital marketing, AI optimization, and integrated communications work.

What book are you reading? Or any recent favorites?

I’ve just started The Vanished Child. It’s been sitting on my list for a while and I’m glad to finally get into it.

What about newsletters, industry/work related or otherwise?

Most of my newsletters come through Substack. They change depending on what I’m interested in at the time, but right now I’m subscribed to It Takes A Village, which focuses on all things parenting.

What podcasts are you listening to?

At the moment I’m hooked on We Need to Talk with Paul C. Brunson. It’s my guilty pleasure – though I feel no guilt. It’s easy listening, perfect for when I’m doing housework, and the mix of pop culture guests makes it a great escape from day-to-day seriousness.

Favorite outdoor activity, workout, or hobby?

Running is my go-to. It helps me switch off while keeping fit. I also love walking, usually with music or a podcast. I used to spend time in the gym, but these days I’d much rather be outdoors.

What’s your work super power?

I’d say it’s keeping lots of projects moving at once. I’ve had to work on letting go of perfectionism a little – hard when you hold yourself to high standards, but it means I can focus on getting things done

Any restaurants (or cafes, coffee shops, etc.) that you’ve been to and loved? Local favorites?

I’m not fussy about food and will try most places, but once I find somewhere I like, I stick with it. At the moment I’m obsessed with Coconut in London. And I’ll never turn down a proper roast or carvery.

How did you find your way to Vested?

Through Louisa at a brilliant recruitment agency. I’d built my career in pharma and health but wanted to pivot into financial services – a tough move to make. Louisa gave me the push to go for it, and here I am. There’s still plenty to learn, but working with such impressive people makes every day a learning opportunity.

What’s your go-to coffee order?

Chai latte with a shot of coffee – sometimes two. I used to be loyal to mochas, but after one terrible experience, I’ve never gone back.

Do you have any hobbies or new skills you’re learning?

I’m trying to practice slowing down. I’ve always had a restless streak, moving straight from one  project to the next. Now I’m making an effort to pause and appreciate what I’ve built so far. It’s been a real shift in perspective.
