Brand Refresh

Brief

NEPC, a long-term media relations client, engaged Vested to refresh their brand and launch a new website. The leading independent investment consultant wanted to modernize their look and feel to reflect their stature in the industry. The three main goals were modernizing the visual brand identity, improving user experience and SEO and creating a unique brand identity for the private wealth practice.

Approach

Vested led a brand refresh 360 with the NEPC team to explore and build a new visual brand identity. NEPC wanted to keep their logo and core color intact, so we formed a strategy around retaining that personal and meaningful piece of their brand identity. Our team of designers built concepts that were inspired by characteristics of the logo, which features bold, white letters arranged in a quadrant against a strong backdrop of NEPC’s signature blue. Inspired by the quadrant/cross element in the logo, Vested developed a “window” brand element concept that is used in all of NEPC’s collateral materials and adds visual interest to their presentations.

Result

Final deliverables for the brand refresh included the following new assets: typography, color palette, graphic assets, unique brand element, library of brand imagery, a fully redesigned business development presentation, and a strong set of collateral. In addition, we delivered a second set of assets for the private wealth division, including a library of brand imagery, a unique color palette and template for marketing collateral. The Vested team also fully executed the website redesign, including design, development, rewriting the full site copy, optimizing for SEO, UX strategy, and advising on accessibility best practices.

Execution
