Elliptic, the blockchain data and analytics business, has been supporting the future of finance globally since 2014. To promote the tools, insights and intelligence they developed to make blockchain finance more transparent and secure, Elliptic partnered with Vested to broaden the focus of its marketing and communications efforts to include the financial services sector and create fame and credibility in a market with fast-maturing blockchain capabilities.

To achieve this goal, Vested proposed a media and content programme designed to apply the relevancy of blockchain technologies in geopolitical and global events to audiences of decision makers in leadership and compliance roles working in business and finance. To measure impact of the programme, Vested developed a bespoke measurement framework highlighting share-of-voice against key competitors in a highly focused set of Tier 1 publications, allowing us to measure the impact across three priority press segments: Business & Finance, Crypto and Regulation & Compliance.

Results

Since starting work with Elliptic, there has been a measured increase in the proportion and number of high quality mentions in media, from a baseline in H1 2021 of 10-12% high quality share of voice to over 26% in Q1 2022. Inbound requests from priority media have increased more than tenfold over this timeframe.

These metrics have been the result of careful and focused media relationship building and executive profile programs that have driven awareness in both the finance and crypto industries. Combining high profile company news and impactful content development linking blockchain technology and intelligence to high profile world events, including the war in Ukraine and the growth of decentralised finance, this program has worked to increase awareness and credibility of the business in this sector, while opening doors to new industries and supporting sales objectives.
