This will be a story for a daily print publication about people who sell their own homes without using a broker — so –called FSBOS (for sale by owner). What do these sellers need to know in order to protect themselves? And, specifically, what do they need to know or do with respect to buyer financing? How can a seller successfully sell a house on his own and know that the buyer is qualified for a mortgage so the deal goes through? I’d like to hear from brokers, mortgage experts and others (including anyone who sold on their own).
