I am looking for people who can direct me to private banks that have been actively involved in efforts to remove blight. I am most interested in speaking to people *at* banks, but I can also talk to sources who have studied the issue of blight removal. What banks have gotten involved in blight removal beyond simply donating grant money to community efforts? Which banks have taken aggressive steps to help clean up vacant properties, and have actively worked with communities in improving the process of removing blight. What have specific banks found to be their biggest successes in removing blight? What have been the biggest challenges for banks? I’m familiar with JPMorgan Chase’s effort in Detroit, so I’m looking for examples with other banks and in other U.S. cities.
