I’m writing an article for U.S. News & World Report, about what financial steps you should be taking when your kids are expecting. In other words, you’ve got grandchildren coming. You might want to change your will, set up a 529, help out with the baby furniture – or, if this is the case, gently tell your kids that you can’t afford to help out. If you’re a financial expert who often works with grandparents and have advice for them, or anecdotes about what you’ve seen grandparents do, I’d be happy to hear from you. Also happy to hear from grandparents who have done made some interesting financial moves regarding their grandkids and would like to offer their advice.
