Training and the Independent Agent/Carrier Relationship

How can training programs enhance the relationship between independent agents and their carriers? What are some of the elements that a great training program offers to agents? How can agents use what is learned in these programs to benefit their agencies and their clients? The article will appear in an independent insurance agents; trade association magazine published in Connecticut, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Vermont and should be written for insurance agency principals who mostly write property/casualty insurance.
