I’m writing two stories about retirement planning and am looking for experts who can speak to the following: 1. The Retirement Savings Shortfall Among Singles and Women – 5 Tips for Those Who Fit this Demographic According to a study by the Economic Policy Institute, single people and women face particular challenges when it comes to saving for retirement and tend to be less prepared than their married counterparts. Even among those approaching retirement age (56-61) most single men and women do not have any retirement account savings. Need expert tips and info re: this demographic 2.Gen Xers (those 35-54) Who Haven’t Prepared for Retirement – 4 Tips For Catching Up While some Gen Xers are hitting their retirement savings goals, according to the Time Magazine article, more than half (52%) still have less than $10,000 in retirement savings. A big contributor to this shortfall may be the Great Recession, which apparently hit this generation the
hardest. Expert insight/advice for this demographic. Again, need tips specifically designed for this demo and topic.
