Financial professionals often view tax season a little differently (and more optimistically) than others, given the opportunities for new business. At the same time, retirees and soon-to-be retirees often stress more than other people, given their lack of work income. How can advisors leverage the post-tax season blues to help clients whose tax liabilities were greater than they expected? How can they appeal to this demographic, and what kind of messaging will help to grow a retirement-focused practice following tax season? Moving forward, what are some strategies retirees can use to mitigate their tax burdens in the coming years? These strategies might include various 401k and IRA drawdown strategies, Social Security strategies, and anything else you (the interviewee) can think of to help retirees. Requirements:
I’d like to interview one or two financial advisors who specialize in retirement planning, and who have recently helped retiree clients mitigate their tax burdens.
